Abstract
This paper presents the scientific and methodical principles of content of training course Me and Ukraine (Environment) ” (1-4 classes) for children with moderate mental retardation. It hus suggested the holistic in content and construction training program aimed at the highest puss і hie intensification of development and socialization process of these children The goals, objectives and directions of training programs are defined, the correctional and educational pulrntial of the subject are opened, the psychological and pedagogical grounding of correction and rehabilitation training of students with moderate mental retardation are presented in the tight of modern science and practice achievement, the ways ofperceptual and cognitive schemes forming are proposed to develop the children representation of the environment, the appropriate variant of the building and semantic structuring of learning material content are describes, the basic methods and techniques of correction work are stated.
