Abstract

The main provisions of the design and study of courses of choice in biology, ensuring the implementation of the competence-based approach, are indicated, namely: the subject position of the student, the interaction of students and the teacher in the planning and implementation of learning stages, the priority of students' cognitive independence, the practical significance of learning outcomes, their suitability for development and improvement after completing the course.
