Abstract

The article analyzes the recent changes in the conditions, structure, tasks and role of the armed forces, and their impact on the system of professional military education. The essence and content of competency maps, positive and negative aspects of training military specialists on their basis are considered. The limited formalization of the features and qualities of military leaders that will be relevant in the long run is substantiated. The need for a systematic approach to training has been clarified military, where in addition to education and training it is necessary to take into account the conditions of service, incentives and motivation.
