Abstract

Ukraine’s entry into European and international markets, a new wave of migration processes, military action in the east of the country lead to the transformation of the domestic labor market, which affects human labor and its socio-economic situation. First of all, this applies to graduates of educational institutions who currently do not have sufficient opportunities for the full realization of personal and social potential, especially in the field of professional prospects and building a successful career. Therefore, there is a need to develop pedagogical technologies to ensure personal professional and value self-determination of students, especially in the context of the formation of professional and value orientations towards work. The purpose of the article is to consider the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the study of the formation of professional and value orientations of students to work. The study used theoretical methods, methods of studying documents and methods of studying and generalizing theory and practice. The conceptual and categorical apparatus defined in the article serves as a basis of the started research of the specified problem, the consequence of which should become creation of pedagogical technology of formation of professional and value orientations of pupils towards work, assistance of optimization of vocational guidance activity of educational institutions. essence and place in the world, preparation of graduates of general secondary education for professional selfdetermination and life self-realization, formation of competence in their construction and implementation of individual educational and professional trajectory, in general preparation for future work. The scientific novelty of the generalizations given in the article lies in outlining ways to solve the problem of forming psychological and practical readiness of a growing individual for work, providing conscious and sound professional self-determination, creating a scientific and methodological basis for general modernization of vocational guidance of secondary school students. The materials presented in the article can be used by pedagogical workers, practical psychologists, social pedagogues who carry out professional orientation in educational institutions; students of pedagogical and humanitarian higher educational establishments, listeners of institutes of advanced training of pedagogical shots.
