Abstract
The article is devoted to the presentation of the logic of constructing methodological tools for studying those aspects and characteristics of interaction in the family, which determine the development of civic competence of the growing individual. It is determined that it involves several consecutive steps flowing from each other: identification of psychological indicators of the study based on theoretical analysis of scientific sources; their operationalization by means of scales; constructing judgments (empirical indicators) that comprehensively reveal the content of each scale. It is outlined that the indicators for assessing the developmental potential of family interaction are operationalized using 10 scales. In particular: the right to one's own opinion; the right to participate in decision-making (control); the right to autonomy; property rights; availability of rules of family interaction and readiness to follow them; flexibility – the rigidity of rules and regulations; consistency – inconsistency in interaction; «healthy» – «inverted» hierarchy; parental authority; cohesion – disunity; community involvement. It is noted that the author's questionnaire designed specifically for the purposes of the study of the characteristics of family interaction of parents and children, which determine the development of civic competence of a child, contains 55 statements (for Likert scale assessment) and is an adequate and correct tool for studying the developmental potential of family interaction.
