Abstract

It is revealed that under conditions of globalization there is an increase of competition in education. Intensifying the competitiveness of European education is seen as a priority in the EU. It is important to understand external influences and form promising development strategies. It is revealed that the guidelines for the development of European education are considered: the development of preschool education, lifelong learning, digitalization of education, individualization of education, strengthening the interdisciplinary content of education, the introduction of media education, and the massification of university education. The authors concluded about the importance of a comparative study of promising areas of the European education under globalization. It forms the vector of development of modern societies, promotes their synchronization. This makes it possible to predict the development of systems, including education.
