Abstract

In modern socio-economic conditions, the education system has a social order for the education system with a new paradigm and principles. This is both a challenge that requires hard work, but also an advantage that will transform the education system, taking into account the needs of everyone - teachers, students and their parents. Thanks to the new Law on Education, which introduces a new system of professional development, we are able to build a system that provides for the increase and expansion of opportunities, takes into account the individual needs of teachers and allows everyone to create their own lifelong growth trajectory. One of the current areas of modernization and innovative development of natural sciences, mathematics, humanities education is STEM-oriented approach to learning. The development of STEM-education requires a general modernization of the content of education, logistical and educational-methodological support, and work in this direction is ongoing. But first of all, it is necessary to solve the problem - the development of professional competencies of STEM-teacher. Awareness of the need for continuous pedagogical development, understanding of new socio-economic challenges that arise now, the Department of STEM-Education DNU "Institute for Modernization of Educational Content", SHEI "University of Education Management", Publishing House "Education" initiated and successfully implemented on a partnership basis for 4 years the social all-Ukrainian innovative educational project "STEM-school" on the platform of the Ukrainian project "Quality of education". STEM-partnership has contributed to the creation of open educational resources of non-formal education, which complement the forms of formal adult education, tools for professional development, provide an opportunity to motivate teachers to actively implement educational STEM-innovations. Annually, "STEM-school" to hold two sessions according to the curriculum of the special course. Students develop professional competencies, learn the experience of innovators, methodological recommendations, example programs, get for the implementation of author's methodical materials, cases of integrated STEM-lessons / projects / excursions, etc.
