Abstract
The problem of increasing the efficiency of human capital of the country highlights the need to ensure a reasonable and conscious choice of student youth of their professional future. At the same time, the construction of a young person's own educational and career trajectory is determined by the system of value, in particular professional value orientations. The purpose of the study is to study the career and value orientations of students of vocational (vocational and technical) education. Achieving the goal and implementing the tasks of scientific research involved the use of a set of methods of psychological and pedagogical research. The study used theoretical and empirical methods, as well as the processing of empirical data. The observational experiment was carried out in vocational (vocational and technical) educational institutions of Vinnytsia, Volyn and Khmelnytsky regions, in total, more than 1,600 students who studied in the first-third years of vocational (vocational and technical) education took part in the survey. The analysis of empirical data allowed to reveal features of formation of value and career orientations of student's youth at a stage of acquisition of professional training. In particular, it was found that value and career orientations are not stable and are modified depending on the year of study, which can be explained by the normative crisis of vocational training. To implement a horizontal career, and almost a quarter of respondents are focused on the implementation of a vertical career, which involves the acquisition of professional higher or higher education. At the same time, the value expectations of these students are related to the content of future professional activity and they are characterized by the developed professional value orientations corresponding to the future professional activity.
