Abstract

The article emphasizes that for the effective implementation of the differentiation of learning in the practice of primary school, it is important to consider and understand the theoretical foundations. The readers' attention is focused on the essence and specifics of the concepts «differentiated approach», «differentiation of learning», «differentiated learning». «Differentiated approach» is defined as a special approach to the organization of the educational process and determining the content and scope of educational material, focused on the optimal development of each student, implemented in individual or group work, provides diversity and variability, provides opportunities for students to choose. The concept of «differentiated learning» is defined as a comprehensive system based on the competence approach, the components of which are forms of learning and learning activities of students, methods and means of learning, appropriately prepared learning material; «Differentiation of learning» – as a special case of application of differentiated learning, which involves the use of one of the forms or types of differentiated learning. In the context of considering the research problem, different variants of the relationship between the concepts of «learning differentiation» and «individualization of learning» were identified; outlines the position of the author, which is to use individualization as the highest degree of differentiation. It contains information about the forms and types of differentiated learning. In particular, it is the application of a differentiated approach (according to R. de Groot) at the macro level (at the level of the education system – between schools), at the meso level (at the level of general secondary education – between classes, streams or departments), at the micro level (at the level). class – differentiated learning of groups, individual students). Ways of application of internal differentiation of training are considered in more detail.
