Abstract
Acquisition of key competencies involves the implementation of applied orientation content of mathematics. Applied orientation is achieved by including tasks in textbooks practical content. Successfully solving them requires common skills to solve them purely mathematical problems. One way to develop such skills is to solve problems auxiliary elements are used (not directly given in the conditions of tasks).
