Abstract

The essence of the main types of prognostic reading activity of junior schoolchildren is characterized: verbal forecasting; semantic forecasting; linguistic and contextual assumptions. The dependence of the effectiveness of the prognostic activity on the level of formation of the child's cognitive processes is revealed; its close connection with the development of emotional and motivational sphere, creative imagination, creative thinking of students.
