Abstract

The article reveals the role of carrer guidance as a theoretical and practical system for helping a student in professional self-determination and professional development. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign experience in conducting carrer guidance, the problematic aspects in the implementation of elements of carrer guidance of students (vocational information, vocational diagnostics, vocational counseling) in Ukraine are concretized. It is determined that the most problematic area of school career guidance is the content of professional information, which is associated with an unstable labor market, the transformation of the content and working conditions of many professions. It is concluded that the modern system of school vocational guidance can be effective only in the case of updating scientific and methodological approaches to its implementation, improving the content of all its stages (professional information, professional counseling, professional diagnostics), bringing educational activities closer to professional. The author proposes some steps to improve career guidance. It is proved that the professional orientation of students should be aimed at the formation of value orientations of students, which are the most important elements of the internal structure of the individual, which form its stability in relation to their requirements, needs, interests, interests. It is emphasized that the implementation of this is possible only if the development and implementation of effective strategies to help students in professional self-determination, which are part of a holistic career guidance technology, which appears as a set of methods, techniques, principles and methods of career guidance. availability of appropriate tools. It is determined that the effectiveness of the implementation of career guidance technologies is due to the extent to which they will be adapted to the individual and age characteristics of modern students described in the Theory of Generations. It is substantiated that the content, forms and methods of professional orientation should be well structured, informative, motivating, creative, interesting, but short-term. Career guidance tasks need to be formulated clearly and in detail. Training material should be bright and visual. Adolescents and high school students have to solve problems on their own, but under the constant support of a professional orientalist.
