Abstract
At present, the unequivocally recognized teaching methodology is a student-centered paradigm, which is based on student-centered learning (exit orientation), which is based on the competence model of the specialist (profile), created with the most active participation, along with teachers, employers, graduates, professionals organizations. Questions arise, what is the essence of this model of the specialist, what methodology is used for its formation? The key issue is how to develop and implement methodological mechanisms to ensure a sustainable balance of fundamental and technological competence components given the different speed of their change and the contradiction between the pragmatic view of employers and a certain conservatism of the academic community.
