Abstract
The article considers current trends in the education of children with special educational needs. In particular, emphasis is placed on the developed and implemented systems of early intervention as one of the conditions for further successful development and education of children with hearing impairments. The aim of the article is to highlight some theoretical provisions of the study of early intervention services for children with hearing impairments as an innovative area of activity of a special educational institution. Provided that the subject of the study is early intervention, it is necessary to clarify the essence of the category “early intervention service for children with hearing impairments”, analysis of conceptual provisions, determining the content and organizational forms of necessary care. The main tasks, principles and models of operation of early care centers are highlighted. Based on the analysis of theoretical approaches and practice, a conclusion was made about the feasibility of organizing centers on the basis of special educational institutions for children with hearing impairments. This model contributes to the involvement of material, methodological, human resources, optimal consideration of needs, compliance with continuity in the organization of training. The need to involve family members in the rehabilitation process and delegate to them a leading role in the development of young children, providing communicative interaction and emotional contact at home, the formation of social skills mainly in the form of games, the organization of the natural developmental environment.
