Abstract

General secondary education plays an important role in preparing future generations for a successful life in the 21st century. For the purpose of general secondary education, emphasis is placed on the comprehensive development, upbringing and socialization of the student as a person capable of living in society and of civilized interaction, self-improvement and lifelong learning; ready for conscious life choice, self-realization, responsibility and civic. The realization of this goal is possible under the conditions of creating a modern educational environment in general secondary education institutions, which would ensure the effectiveness of educational reforms and compliance of the quality of education with the requirements of the state and society. The results of the study do not fully reflect the state of innovation of all secondary schools in Ukraine, but the tools for assessing the innovativeness of the educational environment of the gymnasium allows each institution to determine the level of innovation and develop strategic plans for the development of the school environment.
