Abstract
Namely the reading and the writing that directly gives the student to master key competencies. Disorders of phonetic-phonemic, lexical-grammatical and syntactic components of speech have a negative effect on the development of coherent speech and, in association with secondary disorders, can lead to dyslexia. The article performed actual issues of qualitative diagnostics of the level of speech development in children of primary school age with severe speech disorders as an indicator of readiness to acquisition written speech. The modern view of the problem from the standpoint of the psycholinguistic approach is represented. It is argued which language components are main for the acquisition of skills reading and writing. The theoretical bases and applied aspects of diagnostics of phonemic processes and the syntactic side of speech in primary school students with special educational needs are covered. The prospects for further scientific explorations of the problem are outlined.
