Abstract
The publication analyzes the current state of use of electronic social networks in working with students of secondary schools and the development of information and research competence of researchers and research and teaching staff. The necessity of using electronic social networks for the development of information and research competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers is substantiated. The properties of electronic social networks for the work of pedagogical workers are revealed and determined, as well as the possibilities of safe use of electronic social networks by students are outlined. It is proved that the introduction of electronic social networks in secondary school effectively influences the formation of information and research competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers. The peculiarities of the problem of using electronic social networks in secondary schools and the development of information and research competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers are highlighted. The results of the conducted pedagogical experiment with teachers on the possibilities of using electronic social networks in the work of secondary school teachers are described. The state of use of electronic social networks in work with students by teachers, awareness of teachers, scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers about the use of electronic social networks in their work is determined. It is emphasized that scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers can use electronic social networks to form information-research competence. We believe that the use of electronic social networks is promising: to conduct certain parts of research and disseminate their results, reports on scientific events, to support scientific communication and develop research competence of graduate students, researchers and research and teaching staff.
