Abstract

Based on the writings of Academician S. Honcharenko, the author analyzes his views on the problem of lifelong learning. The point of view of a prominent scientist on the specifics of adult learning as an independent educational branch, which has a purpose and its peculiarities, is elucidated. Scientists emphasized that the propensity to learn is formed in the process of learning and learning. It is noted that effective adult learning is impossible without forming a modem scientific picture of the world.
