Abstract
It is established that psychology as a science is faced with the task of methodological reflection, comprehension of its own paradigmatic status. It has been stated that recently attempts in theoretical and methodological analysis of psychological knowledge have become popular in psychology, which substantiates the selection of classical, non-classical and postnon-classical types of development of scientific knowledge. It has been established that the post-non-classical style of theorizing has recently begun to dominate in psychological science, in which it is not the psyche but the person that becomes the center, goal and value of psychological cognition. Post-classical psychology develops ideas about the social construction of reality and the special significance of subjective experience. It is proved that the transition to post-classical psychology is due to the desire to integrate psychological knowledge. The accumulation of psychological research of theoretical and applied nature has led to the need for their systematization and the search for new integrative approaches that explain the impact on humans of environmental conditions. Therefore, it is the integrative paradigm that can be considered as the theoretical and methodological basis of modern special psychology.
