Abstract
The manual presents tasks for diagnosing the learning of 5th grade students at the beginning of the school year. They will help to gather the necessary information about the level of knowledge, skills and abilities in the Ukrainian language achieved at the previous stage of learning - the so-called residual learning outcomes, ie the amount of learning achievements that should be included in students' learning experience after studying the previous block. This amount of knowledge is a prerequisite for studying the next training unit.
