Abstract

The theses analyze the introduction of the concept of "photon" in physics textbooks of different author groups. Photon should not be attributed to relativistic mass and there is a need to modernize physics textbooks. The attention of the participants of the educational process should be focused on the limits of application of A. Einstein's formula for the connection of mass and energy.
