Abstract
The theses consider the theoretical and methodological aspect of assessing the quality of professional training. A set of leading principles for evaluating learning outcomes is highlighted. It is emphasized that assessment as a process of comparing what students have learned with what they had to learn in accordance with the requirements of the educational-professional program (educational standard), performs certain functions, the proper implementation of which is possible under certain conditions for assessing the quality of training.
