Abstract
In the context of a study conducted in independent Ukraine by the state analysis of the contribution to the modernization of the Ukrainian secondary school of the former Minister of Education of Ukraine Stanislav Nikolaenko (2005-2007). The most important directions of it are singled out activities related to the continuation of previous educational and political initiatives, and with the launch of new projects (initiating the development models of schools to promote the health of students, the introduction of subjects spiritual and moral orientation).
