Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the methodological principles and approbation results of collection of tasks for differential psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of teenagers intellectual development. The proposed method of psychological and pedagogical investigation of teenagers intellectual development is based on the principles of an educational experiment. The determining criterion for evaluating the intellectual development of the individualis learning – ability to improve results of the task in fluenced by pedagogical assistance. The collection of tasks consisted of the understanding of short stories with undertone, the establishment of a connection between concepts similar to those given in the sample, building of deductive conclusions, the determination of reciprocal relations between these values and the placement of objects in space, the classification of geometric figures. Diagnostic tasks were tested on the teenagers contingent of a general secondary school, mainly with persistent difficulties in learning and teenagers with a determined mild degree disruption of intellectual development. A comparative analysis of the tasks performed by the individuals allowed to get a detailed picture of their intellectual activity. The findings of the study reveal the peculiarities of intellectual activity of teenagers with pedagogical neglectandunderdiagnoseddisruptionofthe schoolskillsformationthatleadto chronic failure in education, which show a marked inhibition of the development of higher forms of their mental activity, which remain undeveloped. Differences between the performance of intellectual tasks by these teenagers and those whose disruption of intellectual development of a mild degree can be detected by qualitative analysis of the implementation of a number of tasks based on a learning experiment and figuring outpeculiarities of learningabilities.Usingonly sychometricdiagnosticmethodsfor these childrencouldlead to a higher risk of gettingindicatorsbeyondthenormallimits.
