Abstract
The article describes the results of the comparative analysis of the age-old peculiarities of the development of perceptual generalization of pre-school children with a different evolvement of intellectual development. The research method was a diagnostic educational experiment. The evaluation of the experimental tasks conduction peculiarities of the individuals was carried out simultaneouslywithprovidingthemstrictly limited assistance.Themethodconsistedoftwo tasks on the classification of geometric shapes. In the task #1, training was aimed to form perceptual actions of the intellectual type (identification, correlation of attributes, perceptual modeling). The mentioned actions were realized in the respective learning competences of preschool children: the ability to allocate signs, see the highlightedfeatureas common for other figures, formgroups of figures based on their unity, call the basis of classification. In the task, an assessment ofthe results of learning– the ability to transfer gainedexperienceregardingthewayhowdidtheyactpreviouslytoperforminga similar task. It was established that pre-school children with normative development the independence of making a choice on the basis of classification, availability of more generalized measures of assistance, the ability to verbalize the basis of classification arose most significantly due to transferring the skills; pre-practical generalization of the methods of classification has been developed. At the same time, the age factor is a key criterion for assessing the quality of perceptual generalization and learning. In children with mental retardation the variability of differences in the performance of a similar task has diminished significantly due to increased autonomy in choosing the basis of classification under the influence of learning in general; the most significant changes are in sensitivity to the help, especially in understanding the value of the sample for changing the basis of classification, the ability to verbalize it. Age differences within this group of individuals are also significant for assessing of learning. Children witha disorderofintelligenceofamilddegree donotacquirea significantimprovementinthe qualityof perceptual generalization under the influence of short-term training.
