Abstract

The article shows the need to develop technology for psychological assistance to internally displaced persons, which is applicable to use in short-term and crisis work. The creation of technology should be based on an understanding of the nature of trauma in this group of victims, which is not well understood. Traumatization is considered as primary (events that forced migration) and secondary (non-satisfaction of basic needs after resettlement, discrimination, peculiarities of socio-cultural adaptation). Secondary trauma to internally displaced persons as a result of a sharp change in sociocultural identity remains insufficiently studied. The proposed technology of psychological assistance is described in detail and allows working with both primary and secondary trauma. The main components of the technology are presented: psychodiagnostic, interpretative and corrective. Prospects for further research is the study of the effectiveness of the proposed technology.
