The essence of performance – self-management of the head of the new Ukrainian school is revealed in the article. The basic directions of its development are defined as the basis of high organizational culture of managerial work: time management, self-development management, career management, communication management, stress management, personal restraint management, conflict management. The current tendencies of educational reform have led to the emergence of a new managerial philosophy, which is based on a motivational and systematic approach and a personally oriented goal of its implementation. Researchers understand the purposeful activity of all subjects, which ensures the formation, stabilization, optimal functioning and obligatory development of the educational institution [1]. The quality of management of the teaching staff is determined by the purpose of education: the formation of a free, democratic, creative, competent, competitive personality. The head of the NUS should be aware of the role of responsibility for the archival task of organizing the educational process in the school; to self-assess the ability to fulfill this role; to position motivation for implementation of the New Ukrainian School Concept among all participants of the educational process. Effectiveness and effectiveness of management activities depend on the successful implementation of each factor, which means improving the quality of school education. The scientific understanding of the problem of self-management in domestic management and sociological literature dates to the mid-1990s. Interest in this problem is not accidental. It is driven by the logic of managerial knowledge development. The creative organization of performance - self-management, which motivates managers to reconsider their professional credo, to clarify their role in the process of school development, to their professional self-determination, plays an important role in the preparation of both the acting and the future head of the WSO.
