Abstract
The dissertation on a scientific degree of a Candidate of Psychological Sciences on speciality 19.00.01 – The General Psychology, The History of Psychology. –Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. – Kyiv, 2010. The dissertation presents the theoretical underpinnings as well as a new method for solving the problem to identify the characteristics of giftedness. The integration of the individual and cognitive components in the developing creative potential creates the conditions to identify the criteria of general perception of giftedness as well as the psychological mechanism of its intellectual activity and self-regulation. The strategic thinking organization would be the indicator of giftedness that reflects cognitive and individual features by exposing creative-thinking strategies and creative sets. Conventionally, there are three levels of both creative strategies and creative sets such as individual, subject and cognitive level. We point out that strategic thinking organization of a gifted person provides: − at a personality level – the positive attitude to new tasks; the need for transforming the unclear task into a definite and structural one, the ability to show creativity regardless to the task specification, which present basic vital function’ spheres and accordingly people creativity, the consistency between conscious creative thinking and involuntary unconscious process of original thinking; − at a subject level – the firmness and independence of original thinking from external thinking set mediated by social processes; the regulatory role of general project in the sequence of thinking process; − at a cognitive level – the ability to receive adequate in-depth informational about characteristic of objects; the primary orientation for original answers rather than to the number of answers.
