Abstract

The article discusses the socio-cultural aspect of the phenomenon of the philosophy of health in the traditional culture of youth of the mountainous regions of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Based on the study of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical, ethnographic literature, study of archival materials, ethnographic research, the authors reveal the phenomenon of the process of cultivating a healthy lifestyle through ethno-cultural traditions, types of health-saving activities and ways of life support of the population of mountain regions. The methodological foundations of the study are theoretical foundations of philosophical science to study the uniqueness of the process of interaction between man and the mountain environment, man and authentic culture, in the context of ethnopedagogical, ethno-cultural and environmental approaches. The authors emphasize the phenomenology of the philosophy of human health in the ethno-cultural traditions of the inhabitants of this region is extremely multifaceted, because it helps to overcome the boundaries between the physical and the spiritual, the biological and the social, the individual and the global, and involves the integrity of the human personality, harmony of psychophysical forces, human lifestyle, the main parameters of which are work, life, educational, socially useful and cultural activities, various customs, traditions, human behavior. The authors emphasize that calendar customs and rituals are of great ethnographic value, reflecting the totality of folk beliefs, worldview and worldview of the population within the area where they are common.
