Abstract

The manifestation of aggression in athletes of high qualification was studied. 27 athletes of high qualification, members of the Greco-Roman wrestling team of Ukraine were examined. All athletes were divided into two groups according to the level of aggression: the first group - fighters with a low level of aggression (15 athletes, 56%), the second group - the fighters with a high level of aggression (12 athletes, 44%). The relation between the psychophysiological state and the level of aggressiveness among athletes of high qualification has been established. High levels of physical and verbal aggression are associated with a subjective feeling of discomfort in the mental state and a predominance of the arousal process in the nervous system in athletes of high qualification. Taking into account the level of manifestation of the state of aggression will allow to optimize the psychophysiological state of athletes of high qualification and to make adjustments in the training process. Taking into account the level of manifestation of the state of aggression will allow to optimize the psychophysiological state of athletes of high qualification and to make adjustments in the training process. The prospects for further research are to develop, on the basis of the results obtained, practical approaches aimed at compensating aggression for optimization of psychophysiological conditions in athletes.
