Abstract

The theoretical review of the work of representatives of the world scientific community on the topic of psychological characteristics of grief has allowed us to deepen our knowledge in this field. Forms of complicated grief, typical symptoms of grief and pathological symptoms and complexes of symptoms of grief are considered, which is important for consultants who work with a person, accompanying her in grief. Age variability of perception of death in children and adolescents has been determined. The features of psychological counseling and psychotherapy of grievous loss, including in accordance with the stages of grief, are considered.
