Abstract

The article analyzes the experimental research conducted at trade union organizations subordinated to the Kyiv City Council of Trade Unions. The most important and informative factor in achieving of the stated professional goals, as well as for full disclosure of personal potential and skills in the profession is specialists’ self-efficacy. The research results indicate that such a component of the leadership talent as management -a specialist’s ability to manage efficiently the process of goal achieving –influences significantly on recognition of a specialist’s achievements by professional community. Such a component of external professional self-fulfilment, such as application of professional experience and achievements of other professionals, is largely conditioned by such an element of the leadership talent as inspiration. The ability to inspire others to collaborate and achieve a common goal is extremely important in the professional activities of the trade union employees. The most significant factor manifesting a high level of creativity in professional work is internal professional motivation, which is one of the determinants of an individual’s self-realization in any profession, and in trade union work in particular. The “support” scale of the Self-Actualization Test, which shows independence from external influences of a specialist’s opinion and behaviour, is an important factor in recognition of a specialist’s achievements by professional community, as well as the manifestation of a high level of creativity in professional work. Sufficiently significant factors for some components of external professional self-fulfilment are also the following scales of the Self-Actualization Test: flexibility of behaviour, self-acceptance, synergy, as well as the following components of theleadership talent: provision of independence to subordinates. All these personal qualities are professionally important for the trade union leaders; therefore, the program of psychological support for the professional self-fulfilment of trade union employees should pay attention to development of these important factors.
