Abstract
The paper highlights the recommendations of the Council of Europe on "Development of multicultural competence through education". It is noted that an important result of assessing the level of formation of multicultural competence of the student is the teacher's awareness of the student's attitude to life in a multicultural society, the level of his multicultural awareness, the degree of acceptance of other cultures. It is emphasized that one of the main requirements for assessing multicultural competence of students is compliance with the principles of developing a model of multicultural sensitivity of M. Bennett, the model of assessing multicultural competence of M. Biram and determining the expected results in accordance with the goals of multicultural education K. Rus.
