Abstract

The article defines the features of the lesson in the competence paradigm of the modern educational process, the role of the lesson in the formation of subject and key competencies of students. The features of changing the role of the teacher are revealed, which, in the context of the implementation of the competency-based approach, becomes not only a mentor, an informant, but also a consultant, coordinator. The features of reformatting the classical lesson are determined, the necessity of introducing such mandatory structural components as goal setting and reflection is substantiated. Goal-setting was presented as a process involving the definition of the goals of all subjects of the educational process, their coordination, and, if necessary, the transformation of the teacher’s goals into the student’s goals, because the coordination of the goals lies precisely in the fact that the teacher can transform educational goals into goals for students. Reflection promotes the development of such qualities of the student as independence, activity, responsibility, perseverance, the formation of self-analysis skills and at the same time stimulates self-improvement, promotes the development of exactingness and self-criticism, teaches to formulate goals, see difficulties, problems and ways to solve them, predict results, express your feelings, experiences, be aware of their causes. It was established that the lesson should orient the educational process on the actualization, development and satisfaction of the psychological needs of the individual, on the systematic development of various types of her intellect, intellectual abilities (academic, practical, creative, emotional, social), on the updating of the system of her personal emotional-value relationships (cognitive, practical, creatively searching, moral, aesthetic, interpersonal) in learning.
