Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of the ethnic picture of the world as a basis for the formation of national identity. The essence of the concept of "ethnic picture of the world" is understood, which is understood as some holistic view of being inherent in the members of this ethnic group; expressed through philosophy, literature, mythology, people's actions; defines for the person the system of interaction with the world and the nature of relation to its various realities. The factors that determine the ethnic picture of the world are revealed: landscape specificity, climate, language, religion, history, life, customs and more.
