Abstract

In the article, the problems of the improvement of the natural sciences education at the secondary school in Ukraine are studied. The peculiarities of the formation of the content of the educational area “Natural Sciences”, the issues of the scientific and methodological provision of its implementation are analyzed. The tools of the competence-based approach in teaching school subjects are demonstrated. The theoretical fundamentals of the formation and the development of the natural sciences competences of a high school pupil under the conditions of the profession-oriented education are specified.
