Abstract

The actual problem of competitiveness of specialists of vocational college is highlighted in the article. Comparative analysis of the concepts "competitiveness" and "competitive” is grounded and led; the concept “competitiveness of specialist of vocational college” is formulated; the personal and professional components of competitiveness in the scientific literature are studied” the personal and professional components of competitiveness specialists of vocational college according to the results of the employers’ survey are determined; the ways of improving of specialists’ competitive level of vocational college are grounded. The complex of interconnected methods of researching such as theoretical and empirical is used in the process of the researching. According to the results of the researching the concepts of ”competitiveness” and” competitive” are clarified; the difference between them is grounded and the conclusion is made, that the specialist’s competitiveness means that the specialist has the opportunities to compete in the labour market, but the specialist’s competitive is the specialist’s ability to compete, it means that he has the relevant competencies and individual characteristics that enable to win the competition. On the base of the review of the literature sources the concept “competitiveness of specialist of vocational college is determined as the ability of a leaver to answer for the employers’ requirements in this period, through competitive (professional and individual) advantages in relation to others specialists in the particular brunch. It is made the attempt to determine the main personal and professional components of the specialist’ competitiveness of vocational college. It is determined that personal components (responsibility, ability to study, mobility, ability to work in a team) are formulated from the early age, but professional (high qualification, extra education or contiguous profession) are created in the vocational establishments. The researching into the problem of forming skills of person’s self-realization and improving the intellectual and qualified level during all life is perspective.
