Abstract

It is stated that the development of the legal framework for education and training system functioning starts from the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) in 1951 the Maastricht Treaty of 1992 (the Treaty on the EU) was the next milestone on the path of building of the legal framework of European integration of education. The achievement of the strategic goal to develop the most dynamic knowledge-oriented economy is the fundamental idea of the European integration in education in the 21st century (Lisbon Agenda, 2000).
