Abstract

The purpose of the article is to clarify the concept of "basic needs of the individual" and to determine the causes, mechanisms and characteristics of their deprivation. Theoretical methods were used: logical-semantic and structural-logical methods to clarify the concept of "basic needs of the individual" and to determine the causes, mechanisms and characteristics of their deprivation. The essence of the basic needs of the individual and the types of their deprivation are revealed. It is established that in cases of satisfaction of basic needs of a person, his / her psychological health suffers.
