Abstract
The issue concerning the current state of the organization and conducting the orientation in the space lessons for children with visual disabilities, the problem of psychological readiness of blind children and their families to the process of adaptation, socialization, and integration are highlighted. The author analyzes the system of organizing space orientation classes in special schools for blind children. The author raises the issue of increasing individual hours for schooling and introducing additional staff to the institution. Learning orientation in space is only possible if there is an individual approach to each blind child, taking into account the nature of its visual impairment, individual personality traits, and life experience. The psychological aspects of preparation for space orientation training are outlined: presence and nature of residual vision, position of the child in the family, social environment, readiness of the saved analyzers to perceive the subject world and the surrounding space, skills of independent movement in space (micro-, macro-space), psychological stages, where the child with visual disability is located, psychological readiness to moving independently in space. The involvement of parents in the process of orientation in the space of blind children through the passage of appropriate psychological practice is substantiated.
