Abstract

The abstracts focus the readers' attention on the essence of the concept of "bilingualism", describes the types of bilingualism. Information on the level of mastery of the language, depending on the volume of passive and active vocabulary (based on the results of E. Gunnemark's works) is included. It is emphasized that for effective processing of text by bilingual students it is necessary to work systematically and persistently on enrichment of their vocabulary from the elementary classes, and at the same time, for systematic enrichment of the dictionary, to work systematically with texts.
