Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of the possible influence of a teacher’s age on assessing the reasons for the inappropriateness of introducing a state final certification in the form of an external independent assessment upon completion of basic school. Using methods of mathematical statistics with a sufficiently high level of correlation, the existence of weak consistency of opinions of one age group respondents on determining the significance of these reasons was proved.
