Abstract
In the article, the author points out the importance of an innovative approach to educational technologies that serve the development of student's creative potential and lead to a new interaction between a student and a teacher. An important link in education is the creation of such psychological conditions, when the student is able to clearly understand own goals and objectives in the learning process. Professionally competent teachers should provide high-quality educational process. The author draws attention to the lack of criteria for assessing the competence of teacher, lack of understanding what personal qualities of teacher are important, what professional characteristics should he/she have, what specific functions should be performed in the development of students’ competences. In the article, the author represent a generalized portrait of a teacher; his/her psychological qualities, creative potential, intellectual flexibility are analyzed, which allows us to conclude about the degree of his/her readiness to provide a competently oriented educational process. The results of the pedagogical research, shown in the article, give an opportunity to develop a real program of training of professional pedagogical personnel. The purpose of this article is to study the personality, readiness to implement a competently oriented educational process. Our research was carried out at the institutions of general secondary education in Kyiv and Kyiv region and in the city of Kherson and Kherson region. Total number of respondents – 173 teachers.
