Abstract
The guide discusses the ideas of a young teacher's pedagogical mastery in the historical aspect. The category of "young teacher" is investigated, the peculiarities of formation, essence of development and self-development of pedagogical skills of young teachers are determined. Organizational forms, content of professional development of young teachers at the end of XIX - beginning of XX century are analyzed. The publication is addressed to students, graduate students, teachers, anyone interested in improving pedagogical skills.
