Abstract

The article actualizes the problem of the formation of oral language skills of students - representatives of national minorities of Ukraine, who are considered as an instrument of comfortable interaction in a multi-ethnic and multilingual society. The author argues the priority of oral language, describes the main directions of work on the formation of students' speaking skills. In addition, the most important approaches to the formation of oral language skills in the Ukrainian language lessons in general secondary education institutions with language teaching of national minorities are outlined and the basic prerequisites for their formation are defined.
