Abstract
The curriculum is designed to support parent-educators, raise their educational potential, and assist children who are being raised in orphanages and foster care. It presents topics that reveal key aspects of the legal support functioning of family-type orphanages, age psychology, the formation of the child's life competencies, overcoming the difficulties of communication and prevention of socially risky behavior, forming effective interaction with the child, using of teaching and upbringing methods etc. The curriculum provides the use of forms and methods in online learning. The content of the program is focused on the needs and requests of parent-educators, based on scientific and pedagogical principles of adult education (priority of independence, use of own experience, individual approach to the content of learning, systematic, awareness of the learning process, updating its results and development of the need for further education etc.) The curriculum will be useful for both parents of foster carers of family-type orphanages, foster carers, educators, psychologists and social workers.
