Abstract

In the thesis it is proved that the school educational policy of Ukraine in the first decade of its sovereignty deserves an ambivalent evaluation; It is substantiated that the contradictory and even negative tendencies that appeared in the educational policy of Ukraine in the 1990s are attributed to the low level of financing of the branch by the state, which became an obstacle to ensuring the proper functioning of educational institutions and introduction of important innovations. As a result, the industry has formed a complex of unresolved problems, reinforced by objective manifestations of the socio-economic crisis.
