Abstract
The basis of the syllabus is the consideration of topical issues of pedagogical staff of secondary schools professional development in the Federal Republic of Germany. The syllabus presents topics that reveal the state of professional training of secondary schools teachers at universities in Germany, features of pedagogical practice and internship at schools, ways of further professional development. The content of the syllabus provides for acquaintance with the legal framework of pedagogical education in Germany, consideration of theoretical and methodological foundations of teachers’ continuous professional development in Germany. The syllabus can be used by teachers of higher and postgraduate teacher education institutions. It will be useful for scholars, teaching staff, heads of educational institutions, undergraduates and students, as well as for those interested in the development of teacher education in foreign countries.
