Abstract
The monograph is devoted to the study of the historiography of the activity and role of the national elite in the period of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921. The authors identify, systematize and characterize the main groups of historiographic sources from the problem under study from 1917 to 2017. The main publications on the problem of Ukrainian and foreign researchers are included in the historiographic analysis. The dominant place is the historiographic analysis of the scientific achievements of modern domestic researchers, published in the conditions of state independence of Ukraine. The contribution of the researchers to the study of the activity and the state-making role of the political, military, scientific-educational, cultural-artistic, spiritual and diplomatic elite of 1917-1921 is analyzed.
