Abstract

The article deals with the results the theoretical analysis of the problem of teaching hearing impairments children in view of the dominant model of understanding the deafness, which mediates the features of the education process organization of hearing impairments children, which influence on the formation of some personality traits. The medical model means that hearing impairments children acquire less of the education content than their hearing peers and the organization of the education process has a corrective focus, which means the influence on the primary and secondary developmental disorders that occur as a result of hearing impairment. This model forms in hearing impairment children their own inferiority compared to hearing peers, the emergence of a sense of constraints on the prospects of their self-realization in the modern social world of hearing. In the social model, the organization of the learning process is aimed at removing barriers in communication of the hearing impairment children with others. On this model is based on the inclusive education. However, in such circumstances it is impossible to ensure full participation and activity of hearing impairment children in educational process. As a result, the hearing impairment children develop the sense of “otherness” and a stereotype that others owe to them because of he/she is deaf. The cultural model of deafness preserves for hearing impairments children the special education that involves the involvement of adult deaf teachers and hearing teachers from deaf families, who are carriers of the culture, values, experience of solving a variety of problems that arise in the life of a deaf peoples. In this model of learning a hearing impaired children help to form the sense of pride for his/her own belonging to the deaf community, positive self-perception, and adequate vision of his/her own life prospects.
